Sustainability in the North
At Screen Alliance North, we’re committed to setting the standard for sustainable production across the North of England. We help companies, freelancers and productions make choices that are good for the planet and the industry’s future. With sustainability at the heart of our values, we collaborate with a range of partners to deliver training, upskilling and events focused on environmental awareness and practical solutions. Together, we’re working to embed consistent, sustainable practices across our four partner organisations and the wider northern screen community.
Our Sustainability Working Group
In May 2025, we launched our Sustainability Working Group, a peer-to-peer space for those leading green practices across northern productions. Facilitated by Picture Zero and sponsored by Sunbelt Rentals, the group brings together professionals who are implementing environmental strategies and achieving sustainability accreditations. Together, they share best practice, collaborate on challenges, and drive sector-wide change.
