Ready to lead the change in sustainable production? Screen Alliance North is proud to launch the first-ever training course built specifically on the newly created National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Sustainability Managers.
Programme: This course is focused on practical, professional outcomes that allow you to lead transformation on set.

By combining intensive, expert-led theory (10 days) with a practical 8–10 week production placement, this course equips professionals with the skills needed to lead carbon reporting and strategic environmental planning on set.

What will you learn?

You will gain the skills to navigate the climate landscape, master carbon competence, build strategic sustainability plans, drive cultural change within productions, and develop advanced problem-solving expertise.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking motivated individuals with a background in film or TV, particularly from Production Management or Locations, as well as in-house sustainability champions such as Heads of Production or Production Managers. The course is also suited to those wishing to formalise their sustainability expertise, and professionals with transferable experience from related industries such as music festivals or live events.

Applicants should have strong organisational and project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid baseline understanding of sustainability science and initiatives.

Participants must be aged 18+, not in full-time education, and have at least four years’ experience in the creative industries.

Week 1: April 16–17

Week 2: April 20–24

Week 3: April 27–29

Please note that attendance at all modules is mandatory. Applicants may be notified of their opportunity to interview before the deadline of 24th March.
